posted on August 3rd, 2009
The Shop Rat Foundation and the MIS Cares Foundation is working together at the August 14th-16th Nascar races at the Michigan International Speedway to raise money for both foundations.
The Shop Rat Electric Wheelie Car has shocked people from California, to North Carolina, to Wisconsin and in our home state of Michigan, not to mention the many other places these wheelie cars have amazed people.
The Foundations decided to utilize this shocking car to help their charitable organizations in a joint fundraiser at the upcoming August Nascar race at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS).
MIS has graciously donated space to hold wheelie car races for attendees of the event. For a $5 donation, attendees can compete to win a Wheelie Car Race! This electric motor driven car steers with two joy sticks, pops wheelies and is sure to show you the best time you can have under 10 miles per hour!!!!
The Shop Rat Foundation and MIS Cares will split the proceeds to benefit their non-profit charitable organizations.
~~MIS Cares, a 501 © (3) non-profit entity under the umbrella of the NASCAR Foundation, serves as the liaison between the speedway and all of the charitable causes the speedway supports.
~~The Shop Rat Foundation is also a 501 c 3 non-profit organization with a mission to advance the skilled trade industries by opening the minds of our youth through building unique and innovative projects from concept to completion. These wheelie cars are examples of the innovative projects used in the Shop Rat Education Program.
