Shop Rat at Jackson County Rose Parade
posted on June 5th, 2008
The Jackson County Rose Parade continued on this year as part of the 50th anniversary of the Jackson County Rose Festival.
With more than 110 individual entries in the parade this year featuring nearly 30 floats, 6 bands, equine units, public safety vehicles, local organizations, public schools, the Shop Rat Foundation entered the hovercraft built by the students of the Shop Rat Education Program. The entry really awed the crowd as the hovercraft sparkled in the sun strolling through the streets of Jackson County behind a group of motorcyclist and in front of the Strongman competitors. Next year we hope to have several projects within the parade to allow the students to show off to their skills to their hometown community!
