Travis was born and raised in Concord, MI and graduated from Concord High School. He went on to pursue his passion for music at Spring Arbor University. There he studied voice for 8 years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in General Music Education...

Colten originally joined Shop Rat as a senior student in 2006 and his skills and teaching ability quickly shined through and the Shop Rat Education Program knew that Colten was meant to be a part of the team. He soon crossed over the line and was a key player in teaching the students the necessary skills of the program.
