The Shop Rat Summer Camp is designed to open up the creative minds of our youth by building a series of unique and innovative projects using not only their hands, but their mind!

In a week's period, students will complete up to ten Shop Rat projects that may include Wheelie Cars, Hot Air Balloons, Robots, Mousetrap Catapults and more!

Students will rotate through sessions, learning and building these unique projects in a safe and creative environment that promotes ingenuity and innovation.

2010 SHOP RAT SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

LOCATION: Jackson Area Career Center

DATE/TIME: July 19th - 23rd 2010 9am - 3pm

GENERAL SCHEDULE:

9:00 - 9:15 Opening
9:15 - 11:45 Session One (Projects)
11:45 -12:15 Lunch
12:15 - 2:45 Session Two (Projects)
2:45- 3:00 Closing/Dismissal

* After lunch on Friday, students will get to drive the Wheelie Cars, shoot off bottle rockets, and use the other projects that they created during the camp until dismissal.

* Students are allowed to take home all small projects created during the camp

OPEN TO: All Jackson County 6-10th grade students. Student cannot have attended a past Shop Rat Class.
