Joe Walsh

Joe was born in Jackson, MI and lived for a few years in Jerome, MI. His parents then moved to Michigan Center, MI where he spent the rest of his childhood. He attended Lumen Christi High School and graduated in 1997. From high school he went directly to Jackson Community College where obtained his Associates of Science geared for engineering. After a while, he decided that he was in the wrong field and took up farming. He worked for a hay/cattle farm in Grass Lake, MI (Wahl Acres), a horse show facility (Waterloo Hunt Club), and several small horse farms in the area as well.

Joe got married and moved to Grass Lake, MI in 2005. Still feeling that something was lacking he decided to get his degree in teaching. He attended Baker College of Jackson to get his degree in Elementary Education with a Mathematics major. Through contacts at the college he was introduced to Shop Rats and was asked to be part of a great team, he accepted without hesitation. He is very proud to be part of such a revolutionary team of teachers, instructors, and manufacturers. Together they plan to change the world, one Shop Rat at a time.
