Amanda Proctor

Amanda was born in Lansing, MI and grew up in Jackson where she attended Northwest Community Schools. In early 2007 Amanda was brought on by the Shop Rat Organization as an office administrator who was also in charge of marketing duties and since has moved into many key positions.

Amanda has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Amanda handles all the administrative, promotional, and marketing tasks of both Shop Rat Associates and the Shop Rat Foundation. She has currently crossed over into the Shop Rat Education Program as a planner, teacher and coordinator. With her past experience working at an employment agency and other business positions, she has created workshops for the education program in the areas of work ethics, teamwork, and employability and enjoys teaching them. She is also in charge of writing lesson plans that incorporate academic, hands-on and job readiness skills for the education program.

Overall she enjoys all aspects of her position at Shop Rat. Whether it is answering correspondences, setting up promotional events, updating the website or teaching students key skills for success she believes that her place in this organization is a very fulfilling part of her life.

She lives in Jackson with her fiance and daughter Foxy Lady, her beautiful Boxer dog.
