Travis Barnett

Travis was born and raised in Concord, MI and graduated from Concord High School. He went on to pursue his passion for music at Spring Arbor University. There he studied voice for 8 years and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in General Music Education. He was recently married in September to Suzanne and has a wonderful step-daughter named Ashley. They live in Michigan Center, MI.

Travis' style of learning has always been hands-on. At an early age he was constantly taking things apart to see how they work. He has been able to apply this technique and style with his teaching. He is currently employed by Concord Community Schools and works in the High School Alternative program as well as teaching parenting classes at The Child and Parent Center in Jackson. Travis brings valuable experience to the Shop Rat Team as it relates to merging our programs with education standards.
