The Shop Rat Foundation customized two wheelchairs, one made into a chopper and one into a police chair. Three Shop Rat Students, Billy Dunn, David Tracy and Derrick Miller personally took the pediatric patients in a spin in their new wheelchairs. - 4. 2007 Manufacturing Day at the Races
2007 Manufacturing Day at the Races sponsored by the Jackson Area Manufacturing Association and the Michigan Manufacturers Assocation was a fundraising event for the Shop Rat Education Program. This event included an awards ceremony for the 2007 Master Shop Rat of the Year Awards, Jack Roush. - 5. 2007 24 Hour Race for Charity Sponsored by Shop Rat
2007 Shop Rat 24 Hour Race for Charity sponsored by Shop Rat was a 24 hour go-kart race held at the Jackson Speedway where 14 teams including many local charities raced to the finish line. The Shop Rat Foundation donated a custom chopper to the event in which many charities including Boy Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, and the Parma Fire Department sold raffle tickets and were able to keep 100% of the profits. It was a great charity event. - And the winner is.....
