Purpose Statement:
To create a quality system of coordinated, customized services that:
- Optimizes community resources;
- Simplifies access to education, training, and employment opportunities;
- Contributes to a long-range strategy of economic workforce development;
- And leads to self-sufficiency.

Innovative Leadership: The Workforce Development Board will be a leader, make strategic decisions regarding use of resources, be proactive in workforce development and will take appropriate risks to improve services and maximize impact.
Customer-Focused: The board supports the development and coordination of high quality programs and services that are responsive to the needs of employers, job seekers, and other community groups.
Respect for Individuals: The board believes in treating everyone with integrity, fairness and dignity. The board values cultural diversity and differences of opinion in our decision making process. Continuous Improvement and Accountability.
Continuous improvement is essential to the workforce development system: Programs and services will be evaluated based on customer satisfaction, core performance and implementation of continuous improvement processes. The board will ensure a sound return on investment of taxpayer dollars and will work to secure resources to support the workforce development system.
